Meet Matt: Head Trainer

Dog trainer and educator Matt Grace is mad about dogs. A qualified service dog handler and trainer with more than 12 years’ experience Matt prides himself on his ability to raise and train dogs of all breeds ensuring the perfect balance of nature and nurture. 


Whether you’re looking to train your beloved pet or working dog, Matt believes in working with both the dog and its human to maximum their potential, enjoyment and relationship. 


Matt has been the handler of two extremely successful service dogs and has successfully raised and trained a multitude of puppies from the age of seven weeks through to adult. He specialises in training working line dogs such as German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds. 


Whether you’re wanting to set your puppy up with good behaviour habits, train a troublesome furry family member or develop a highly skilled working line dog Matt can certainly assist.   


In fact, if you have a problem with your dog there is every chance Matt has encountered it, worked on and overcome the problem. He lives by the motto that there is no problem too small or too big to fix.  Matt is also an experienced breeder, with a passion for breeding driven, strong, stable, dark pigmented and solidly structured working line German Shepherds.

  • Completed advanced training with police departments in the USA. 
  • Studying the sport of Schuttzhund, now known as IPO, to hone his skills in tracking, obedience, man work and agility. 
  • Work experience training Guide Dogs to learn training methodologies used in training high drive assistance dogs.
